I. Introduction:
The diaphragm-type sludge discharge valve is an angle-type shut-off valve that uses a hydraulic or pneumatic source as its actuator. It is usually installed in rows on the outer wall at the bottom of a sedimentation tank to remove sediment, sand and dirt from the tank bottom. The diaphragm-type hydraulic and pneumatic quick-opening sludge discharge valve divides the valve into two chambers by a nylon-reinforced rubber diaphragm. When connected to a hydraulic or pneumatic source and controlled by an electric or manual two-position four-way reversing valve, it can quickly discharge sludge. This valve uses a diaphragm instead of a piston, eliminating frictional motion, making it more suitable for granular media such as mud and greatly extending the valve's service life. Sludge discharge valves are commonly used at the bottom of sedimentation tanks in urban water plants and sewage treatment plants for sludge discharge. They are usually matched with hoists. The applicable medium for the sludge discharge valve is raw sewage, with a medium temperature generally below 50℃ and a water depth below 10 meters.
II. Working Principle and Performance:
The sludge discharge valve is reasonably designed, easy to use, has good sealing performance and is durable. The valve consists of two parts: a hydraulic cylinder and an angle-type stop valve. The hydraulic cylinder acts as the power to drive the valve disc up and down, and the opening process usually takes only 3 seconds, which can clean sediment and dirt in the water tank. After cleaning, the valve disc is closed without leakage, and maintenance is convenient. Its service life can reach more than 2 years. According to user feedback, the service life can even reach 5 years. The J744X/J644X angle-type sludge discharge valve must be equipped with a machine room, an air (water) pump, and a reversing valve to remotely control the opening and closing of the sludge discharge valve. Generally, 2 to 10 valves can be installed in a row in a water tank, and they can be started and closed simultaneously. The driving liquid can be clean water or air. This product saves manpower and material resources and has significant economic benefits, making it an ideal product.
